He was 79 and a native of Tallulah, Miss. Visitation was at Community Chapel, Walker, on Thursday. Religious service was at the chapel on Friday, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Ebey Sr. and Arthur Ebey Jr. Interment was in Holly Gardens, Hammond. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, a daughter and son-in-law, three sons and daughters-in-law, two sisters, six brothers and four sisters-in-law, 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Pink Davis and Mattie Davis. He built several churches for the Lord.
