She was a contract employee by the federal government during World War II. Following the war, she was employed at Air Force Depot. She loved to travel and loved the scenic beauty of California. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 and resumed on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 until the funeral service in the funeral home chapel conducted by the Rev. Lee Ostten with interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Denham Springs. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, two sisters, five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a life-long friend and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was. her husband, Eugene O. Dawson; parents, Anderson and Ruby Bryant; and four siblings, Dorothy Bryant, Sudie McCauley, R.C. Bryant and William Anderson.. The family would like to thank the staff of Generations Hospice of Watson for making it possible for her to pass in the care of her family at her home. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
