He was a retired master sergeant with the US Arm with 20 years of service to his country and he later retired from the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 9 am until 11 am with interment in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Denham Springs. His wife, two daughters and sons-in-law, three sons and two daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Fabius Odell Sr., and Bessie Neck Didier; and a brother, Fabius Odell Didier Jr. Memorial donations may be made to Gray's Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
