He was born December 25, 1926 in Belle Rose and was a heavy equipment operator and was retired from Salvay/Formosa with 35 years of service. He was a US Army veteran of World War Ii having served in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the Baton Rouge Harley Owners Group. Visitation was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in Baton Rouge on Sunday, December 12, 2010 and resumed on Monday, December 13, 2010 until the services conducted by the Rev Lester May. Interment with Military Honors followed in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Surviving him was his wife, three daughters, a son and daughter-in-law, 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three sisters and a brother-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his first wife, Dorothy N. “Susie” Dugas; a son, Claude N. Dugas, Jr.; a granddaughter, Naomi Dugas; a brother, Melvin J. Dugas; and his parents, Adam and Philomene Dugas.
