EASTERLING, STEVE SR

Steve Easterling Sr., 76 of Jackson died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at his son’s 
home in Texas.  He was a native of Tylertown, MS and was retired from Dixon 
Correctional Institution.  He was a graduate of Dexter High School and a US 
Navy veteran.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 22, 2009 at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary 
and resumed on Saturday until the funeral service with interment in Port 
Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, a stepdaughter and stepson-in-
law, a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, a sister, two sisters-in-law, 10 
grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and three step-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert and Mae Easterling; four 
brothers, the Rev. C.A. Easterling, Robert Eugene Easterling, Joe Easterling 
and Harry Joe Easterling; and a sister, Jean Knippers
