EDWARDS, CARRIE ABI HARDY. 

Carrie Abi Hardy Edwards 88 died at 8:25 pm Tuesday May 5, 2009 at her home in 
Colyell.  She was born May 9, 1920 and was a native of Bayou Barbary.  She was 
a member of Colyell Baptist Church.

Visitation was held at Colyell Baptist Church in Colyell on Thursday, May 7, 
2009 and resumed on Friday until the religious services with interment in 
Colyell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her three sons and daughters-in-law, three daughters and sons-in-law, 33 
grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister-
in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, survive her.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 65 years, Leroy Edwards; her 
parents, John Herbert and Mary Averett Hardy; two daughters, Nelda Morgan and 
Nellie Stout; two sisters, Myrtle Edwards and Lula Robertson; two brothers, 
Henry and Jesse Hardy; a grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
