He was the youngest of 14 children, many of whom were born in the 1800s. As a boy, he survived the Great Depression. Having observed parents who weathered difficult times, Felton Ennis learned to apply "stick-to- it-ness" in all he did. God saw fit to take his servant home at the ripe age of 94 years, 10 months and 8 days. Visitation was held at MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday Jan 2, 2009 with religious services held at Greater St. Peter Baptist Church in Watson on Saturday Jan 3, 2009 at 10 am. His wife of 59 years, four daughters and three sons-in-law, two sons and a daughter-in-law, survive him.
