EVANS, CAROL J.

Carol J. Evans 68 of Satsuma died Sunday, Nov 22, 2009 at North Oaks Medical 
Center in Hammond from a severe case of pneumonia.  She was born Nov 6, 1941 
in the “Irish Channel” of New Orleans.  She had battled and over come in her 
battle with cancer.

Visitation was held at Christian Fellowship Center in Denham Springs on Friday 
Nov 27, 2009 with religious services on Saturday, Nov 28, 2009 until interment 
in Satsuma Baptist Church Cemetery in Satsuma.

A daughter and son-in-law, two sons and a daughter-in-law, three 
grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews 
survive her.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Basille Mittis and Ira Achord 
Fortenberry; her husband, Robert Evans; a daughter, Robin J. Evans; and two 
brothers, Carlos and Patrick Murphy.
