She was born Wednesday, July 10, 1985 in Baton Rouge and was a graduate of Albany High School, where she was involved in many sports. She won numerous awards in track competitions, both locally and regionally. She was a member of the Northshore Transplant Group, having had two heart transplants. Lacey was loved and admired by her family and friends. She was loving and courageous and lived life to its fullest. Visitation was held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond on Friday, May 15, 2009 and resumed on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Greensburg United Methodist Church in Greensburg from 9 am until the services at 11 am with interment in Greensburg Cemetery. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, father and his fiancée’, a brother and sister-in-law, a sister, a stepbrother, a stepsister, three nieces, three nephews, and maternal grandmother. Preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather, Deforest Louis Ficklin; paternal grandmother, Myrtle Cutrer Fiorella; maternal grandfather, Benny McNabb; and a brother-in-law, Justin Eschete.
