He was a former resident of Norwood and a native of Natalbany. He was a dairy farmer for more than 20 years and owner of J&M Trucking. He also previously owned and operated Norwood Moto-Cross. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, a daughter, Teri Sue Finch Lanoue of Walker; three sons and two daughters-in-law, a sister, 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, John Revis Finch and Ruth Cowan Finch; son, Robert Bankston Finch; granddaughter, Erica Finch; sister, Ruth Teresa Finch Parker; two brothers, John Revis Finch Jr. and Harold Lee Finch; and two nephews. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the religious service at the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home on Tuesday. The Rev. Rodney Taylor officiated at the services.
