He was a retired sheriff of Livingston Parish. He was a member of Live Oak United Methodist Church. Visitation was held at Live Oak United Methodist Church in Watson on Friday, March 19, 2010 until religious services conducted by the Rev. Mark Crosby, the Rev. Wex Courtney and Rev Tommy Bergeron with interment in Live Oak Church Cemetery. His wife of 68 years, two daughters and sons-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, five sisters, and two brothers. Memorial donations may be made to Live Oak United Methodist Church Building Fund.
