HALKER, WILLIAM EDMOND “BILLY” 

William Edmond “Billy” Halker 60 a life long resident of French Settlement 
died Sunday Dec 20, 2009.  He was retired from Exxon with 37 years of 
service.  

Visitation was held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Monday, Dec 21, 2009 
and at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement on Tuesday Dec 22, 2009 
until a Mass of Christian Burial with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Church 
Cemetery.

His wife, his father, two daughters and a son-in-law, a son, three brothers, 
and nine grandchildren survive him.

Preceding him in death was his second wife, Sue Halker, his mother, Ruth 
Halker, a stepson, Darryl Young; and his grandparents, Luticia and Telesphore 
LeBlanc
