Mrs. Harrell died July 10, 2009 at her home in Kentwood, she was 87 years of 
age having been born 11 Jan 1922, in Amite County, Mississippi.

She was survived by: three daughters, 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren 
and five great-great-greadchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Harrell, her parents, Calvin 
Monroe and Molly Francis Fluker Bates, two sons, Ben Harrell, Jr. and Robert 
Wiley Harrell; a grenddaughter, Mary Anna Harrell; a daughter-in-law, Joyce 
Harrell Felder, Three brothers, Claude L. Bates, James Calvin "JC" Bates, and 
Sitman Stewart Bates; and two sisters, Bertha Jane Bates, and Daisy Belle 
Varnado.
