She was a native of Ossun and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She loved to sew and cook for her family and enjoyed having people over. A rosary was prayed Saturday, Jan 23, 2010 at Martin and Castille Funeral Home’ Scott location. Visitation was held on Saturday and Sunday, Jan 24, 2010 until the time of service, which were held at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Scott with interment in St Peter and Paul Cemetery. The organist and soloist sang “Amazing Grace”, “On Eagles Wings”, and “Be Not Afraid”. A daughter, a son and daughter-in-law, five grandchildren, and nine great- grandchildren survive her. Preceding her in death was her husband, Edgar Hebert Sr.; her parents, Joseph and Sadie Lyons Chiasson; a sister, Sarah Bourque; a brother, Lee J. Chiasson; and a great-granddaughter, Caroline Prince.
