He was a US Navy veteran and previously employed by Edison Chouest as an offshoreman. He attended Redemptorist High School and graduated from Gables Academy. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University, was a member of TKE fraternity and a huge LSU fan Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 until religious services with interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. His wife, his mother and stepfather, two sons, a sister, a half sister, a half brother, a brother-in-law, and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins survive him.
