He was a former longtime resident of Denham Springs. He was a World War II veteran having served in the US Army. He was a member of Gray’s Creek Baptist Church, the Denham Springs Masonic Lodge 297, and the Ellis Facundus American Legion Post 178 Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home of Denham Springs with a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM on Saturday, Oct 24, 2009. Visitation resumed on Sunday, Oct 25, 2009 until the funeral service at 2 PM. Interment was in Felders Cemetery in Denham Springs. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; two daughters and sons-in- law, two sisters and a brother-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his wife, Ernestine Facundus Hill; his parents, Dallie and Lillie Hill; two sisters, Barbara Carpenter and Eloise Allen; a brother, Sidney Dallie Hill; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
