HILLYARD, JAMES “JIMMY” CLEVELAND

James “Jimmy” Cleveland Hillyard 71 died on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at The 
Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice after a brave battle with brain cancer.  
He was employed by Louisiana State Penitentiary as a radiological technologist 
and was known lovingly as “X-Ray Dude”.  He was an avid LSU fan, and loved to 
travel.

Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home on Sunday, August 22, 2010 and 
resumed on Monday, August 23, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in 
Denham Springs until the funeral services followed by entombment in Evergreen 
Mausoleum.

He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, three grandchildren, a 
granddaughter-in-law, and two great-grandchildren.  He is also survived his 
second wife, two stepchildren and their spouses, three step-grandchildren, his 
father-in-law and mother-in-law, three brothers and two sister-in-law, a 
sister and brother-in-law, a sister-in-law and her husband, a brother-in-law 
and his wife, and numerous nieces and nephews. 
 
Preceding him in death was his first wife of 43 years, Frances Nell Womack 
Hillyard; a sister-in-law, Frances Hillyard;
