He was a native of Blytheville Ark and a veteran of World War II having served with the 3850th Service Company and was an Army technician third grade finance technical clerk. He received the World War II Victory Ribbon Good Conduct Medal and the American Theater Ribbon for his service. He was discharged Jan 26, 1949. He was a graduate of LSU. He was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, AMVETS, the Retired State Employees Association, and a former member of the UCT. Visitation was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday Oct 27, and Wednesday, Oct 28, 2009 until the funeral service with interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. A daughter and son-in-law; a granddaughter; a grandson; a brother; and many nieces and nephews survive him.
