He was a US Navy veteran. Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood.. Interment was in Hope- Oliver Cemetery, Kentwood. He is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law; two sisters and a brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Hope who was buried in National Cemetery in Dallas; three sons-in-law, Tommy Johnson, Wayne Hall and Bill Hall; his twin brother, Otis Hope; two other brothers, Kenneth and Nolan Hope; and sister, Bill Goings.
