JR George A. Hudson Jr., 72 died Monday, June 8, 2009 at his home in Watson. He was a native of Baton Rouge and was a retired member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 198. He was a US Marine Corps veteran. Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 until the service and resumed on Thursday from 9 am until dismissal prayer at 11 am with interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Three daughters and sons-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, two sisters, 10 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, George Achille and Mildred Bayhi Hudson; wives, Carolyn Slaughter Hudson and Darlene D. “Monkey” David; a nephew, Michael “Pickle” Pate; two brothers-in-law, John J. Fugler and Charles Lee Pate; and a niece, Jacqueline Pate. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 4962-402 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
