Billy Ray Johnson, 76, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 
2014 at Baton Rouge General, Bluebonnet. He served and defended our country in 
the United States Army. Billy loved the outdoors while hunting and fishing, as 
well as working in his garden and yard. But his true passion was his 
grandchildren, never missing one of their ballgames. He was a loving husband, 
father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly 
missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, July 
2, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Thursday, July 3, from 9 a.m. 
until service at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Charles Ray Smith. Burial will be 
at Amite Baptist Cemetery, Denham Springs. 

He is survived by his wife, Ann Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert 
Dale and Wanda, and William "Will" Houston and Linda Johnson; grandchildren, 
Derrick, David, Christy and Dustin Johnson, Alisa Newsome, and Craig and Chad 
Bossom; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Andrew Clifton Johnson; and sister 
Pearl Dupree. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Houston Johnson and Beulah 
Butler Johnson; and four sisters, Marine Patrick, Eularee Harrell, Letha Mae 
Fallen, and Bonnie Cummings.

 Pallbearers were his grandsons and Tony McNeese. Honorary pallbearers will be 
Karl Schoen and Wayne Manning, who were more than friends and as close as 
brothers.
