Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” Dora L. “Dee Dee” Kennison 86 died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Sunday, December 26, 2010 and resumed on Monday, December 27, 2010 until the service conducted by the Rev George Wheeler followed by interment in Tangipahoa Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation. She was survived by two daughters, a son and daughter-in-law, two daughters-in- law, six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death was her husband of 69 years, Keith C. Kennison Sr., her parents, Bertha Newsom and Roy Lyon Sr.; a sister, Billie Wilkinson; two brothers, Wallace Lyon and Roy Lyon Jr.; two sons, Keith C. Kennison Jr., and Larry Kennison; and a daughter, Jacqueline Ann Kennison.
