He was a US Navy Veteran. He was a 24-year employee with KLLM Trucking Co., of Jackson, MS, and later took a disability retirement from Borden Dairy. He loved God, his family, his country and fishing. Visitation was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in Baton Rouge on Monday, Nov 23, 2009 and Tuesday, Nov 24, 2009 until religious services with interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. His wife of 20 years, a daughter, three sons and two daughters-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law and their spouses, seven grandchildren, a special cousin and fishing buddy, and several nieces and nephews survives him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Dewitt and Mildred Kimble; his first wife, Janet Carlisle Kimble; and a brother, William Kimble.
