He was a native of Gardner, MA and was a US Army Air Corps during World War II, having served in 386th Fighter Squadron, and recipient of the Distinguished Unit Ribbon, European Theater Campaign Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a deacon at Judson Baptist Church and founder and administrator of the Judson Church Food Bank. Visitation was held at Judson Baptist Church in Walker on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 and resumed on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 until religious, services with interment in Judson Cemetery. His wife, a daughter, a son, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren survive him. Preceding him in death was his father, Francis Lashua; his mother Gertrude Gordon Lashua; a brother, Richard; and four sisters, Elsie, Irene, Doris, and Louise.
