MARTIN, HUEY 

Huey Martin 72, of Clarks died Friday, Oct 2, 2009 following an extensive 
illness.  He was a longtime resident of Denham Springs and a retired 
carpenter.  Mr. Martin was born on Sept 28, 1937 in Kelly and was a 1955 
graduate of Kelly High School.  He was a US Army veteran and a member of the 
United Church of God.

His wife of 47 years, a daughter, a son and daughter-in-law, five 
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, and numerous other 
relatives survives him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Elijah Martin and Minnie Eva McDaniel 
Martin; four sisters, Eva Belle Gore, Willie Mae Gore, Juanita Cupples, and 
Margie Shoemaker; and four brothers, Howard L. Martin, Willard Martin, Boyce 
Martin, and Jimmy Martin.
