MATHERNE, DONNIS JONES

Donnis Jones Matherne 92 died Aug 26, 2009 at Golden Age Nursing Home, Denham 
Springs.  She was a resident of French Settlement and a native of Port 
Vincent, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs.  Funeral Mass were 
observed at St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement.  Burial was in 
Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge.

She is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law; a son and daughter-in-
law; a brother and three sisters-in-law; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-
grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Nolan A. Matherne; 
father, Ben Jones; mother and stepfather, Maggie Andrews Jones Page and 
Nathan; five brothers, Oza, Zeb, Hulon “Buster”, Robert E. “Peck”, and Dunk 
Jones; three grandchildren, Kathleen Perault, Wes Sibley, and Mary Ann 
Perault; and son-in-law, Dwight Sibley.
