MAY, SIDNEY RAY

Sidney Ray May 78 of Denham Springs died on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 
Harvest Manor Nursing Home in Denham Springs.  He was a native of Sherburne 
and a longtime resident of Denham Springs.  He was a veteran of the US Army 
having served during the Korean War.  He was a member of Operators Local 406 
and a member of First Baptist Church in Denham Springs 

Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Monday, January 
10, 2011 and resumed on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 until the services in the 
funeral home chapel with interment following in Plainview Baptist Church 
Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son-in-law, two sons and a 
daughter-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, 10 grandchildren, and two great-
grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Tom and Avis Muse May; a brother, 
Clyde May; and four sisters, Dorothy May, Joyce Ducote, Patsy Smith and Marie 
Mitchell.
