She was a native of Baton Rouge. It is without a doubt that Terri's legacy is the lasting impression that she left on her loved ones. She was a woman whose life wasn't blessed with comports of ease and lack of despair, but a person whose hand dealt in this life gave her no other option but to be strong willed and a compassionate caregiver from her childhood. For her family there were no limitations she supported her family by her constant presence at school functions and her community as a volunteer firefighter. Visitation was held Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 and resumed on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 until the funeral service with interment following in St. Williams Cemetery in Port Vincent. She was survived by a son, two daughters and sons-in-law, a grandson, her father and stepmother, a brother-in-law, a niece, three nephews, and numerous other family and friends. Preceding her in death was her husband, Berry “Toby” W. May; her mother, Patsy Myers; twin daughters, Casey Lyn and Katie Amanda May; a son, Colby Ryan May; a granddaughter, Maeby Barnett; a sister, Cynthia “Cindy” Baker; a niece, Nichole Baker Ramezanloo; and faithful companion, Weenie.
