James Blaine McKay, III, 58 of Denham Springs died July 21, 2009 at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge.. He was a native of El Dorado, Kan. He graduated from Wichita University, Wichita with a bachelor’s degree. He was an employee of Placid Refinery in Port Allen for 17 years. He was also president of NPECA. He was a seasoned musician/worship team member and co- founder of the Christian music group “One and Only”. He was co-owner of Ten- Twelve Studios in Denham Springs and also was a solo artist with Creative Promotions and Big Dog Studios and the Nashville A Team. His Singles “Louisiana Rain” and “Mother’s Love” were released in 2008. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 37 years; a daughter; two sons and daughters-in- law; his mother; a sister; a brothers; ten grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
