She was a native of Quincy IL and grew up in Ponchatoula and lived most of her adult life in Denham Springs. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, Denham Springs, and served for years as a Livingston Parish elections commissioner. She enjoyed flowers, her bluebirds and hummingbirds, crocheting and other crafts, and rooting for the LSU football and baseball teams. She followed the Tigers to the College World Series several times after she retired. Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday Jan 2, 2009 until the funeral service with interment following in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, four grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, two granddaughters, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, more than 40 nieces and nephews, and including four special angels. Preceding her in death was her husband, Joe E. Minton; daughter, Dorothy Minton Haley; two granddaughters, Kara and Lindy Haley; her parents, William W. and Emma Nober Brunner; two sisters, Jeannette Stanga and Sybil Bardwell; and two brothers, Albert and Tommy Brunner.
