Beatrice Mitchell 

A resident of Baton Rouge, Beatrice Morales “Bea” Mitchell  passed away at 
Golden Age Nursing Home, Denham Springs, on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. She was 
90 and a native of Bayou Goula. 

Visitation was at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday until Mass of 
Christian Burial, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Moroney. Burial was in 
Resthaven Gardens of Memory. 

She is survived by a son, Michael J. Mitchell Sr. and wife Jeanette; three 
grandchildren and their spouses, two great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, and 
special angel. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Mitchell; parents, Ernest 
Morales and Angeline Falcon Morales; sister, Mabel M. Brown; and a brother, 
Ernest Morales Jr. . 

She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Ladies Altar Society, Bea’s 
Rosary Group and other church and civic organizations. 

Special thanks to staff at Life Source Hospice and Golden Age Nursing Home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church 
in her name.
