Lucille Morrison 
 
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Lucille McMillon Morrison was 
called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Ochsner 
Medical Center of Baton Rouge surrounded by her loving family at the age of 
79. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her but will forever 
live in our beautiful memories of her. She was born Sept. 24, 1931, in Linden, 
Ariz., and a longtime resident of Denham Springs. She retired from J.C. Penney 
in 1992 with 32 years of service. During her career at JCP, she worked in many 
positions including personnel and operations manager. She started at the Baton 
Rouge Bon Marche store in 1960 and upon its opening, moved to the Cortana Mall 
store where she retired. She was a 1948 graduate of Doyle High School and a 
member of Don Avenue Baptist Church. 

Visitation was at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Saturday from 5 p.m. 
to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume in the funeral home chapel Sunday from 10 
a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. David Taylor. 
Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery, Walker. 

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, three grandchildren, four great-
grandchildren, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Prentiss Morrison; parents, Lee 
and Mildred Holmes McMillon; and brother, Macon Lee McMillon. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Don 
Avenue Baptist Church in Denham Springs.
