Jessie L. Nelson, 89 of Denham Springs died 2 pm Sept 14, 2009 at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was a longtime resident of Baker and Clinton and a native of Grand Bayou. He was a retired Project Manager with Homer Knost Construction, he was also a retired boilermaker and a member of Local 582. He was a member of Boilermakers Local 582 Retirees Club and enjoyed building things in his hobby shop. He loved traveling, cooking and telling stories Visitation was at First Baptist Church of Baker on Thursday Sept 16, 2009 with interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. His is survived by his wife of 50 years, three daughters and a son-in-law, three sons and daughters-in-law, two sisters, 21 grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
