Ansel New passed away at 11:36 AM Sunday, June 29, 2014 at his residence in 
Zachary at the age of 85. He was a retired auto mechanic and was a U.S. Army 
veteran of the Korean War.
 
A memorial service will be held at Seale Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Road, 
Central, LA 70818 on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home 
chapel conducted by Pastor Morgan Louque.
 
Survived by his wife, Mildred Hunter New; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Sue 
and Marty Tubbs; son, Michael New and his beloved friend, Helen "Angie" Braud; 
step-daughter, Norma Hargis and husband Louis; step-sons, Jack Allen Hebert 
Jr. and wife Donna; Robert Michael Hebert and fiance' Kathe; 4 grandchildren, 
Jason Ansel Tubbs, Christy Ruth Tubbs, Timmy Martin Tubbs and Traci Lynn Diez 
and numerous great-grandchildren.
 
Preceded in death by his parents, Bonnie and Roberta McCart New; daughter, 
Mona Young McCall; brothers, Ernest and R.B. New; sisters, Loletter and Francis
 
He was a member of Stevendale Baptist Church in Baton Rouge.
