Mr. Nitsch was a current resident of Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs. He was born August 26, 1929, in Union City, NJ., to Adolf and Georganna Nitsch. He served in the United States Army, during the Korean War. He moved to New Orleans in his 20s where he met his future wife, Judy. He worked many years for the Railroad and for Martin’s Restaurant in New Orleans. He spent more than 50 years in Louisiana. He lost his wife Judy in 1998. He is survived by his sisters, Ida Celia and Gladys Leech of New Jersey; son, Daniel Nitsch and spouse Julie; and two grandchildren, Darla and Daniel of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his brother, Al Nitsch; and sisters, Elsie Grady, Dorthy Nitsch, Anne Hauf, and Joesphine Dietrich. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services performed under the direction of Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs.
