NORWOOD, MELBA C.

Melba C. Norwood, 87 of Denham Springs and a native of Port Vincent died at 
8:06 pm Wednesday, Sept 6, 2009 at Ochsner Medical Center, Baton Rouge.  She 
was retired from the Louisiana Insurance Commission.  She was a charter member 
of Northdale Baptist Church and Riverdale Baptist Church.

Visitation was at Greenoaks Funeral Home with interment in Greenoaks Memorial 
Park.

She is survived by a daughter, a son, four grandsons and three granddaughters-
in-law. nine great-grandchildren and fifteen nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband Gadd Nelson Norwood; great-grandson, 
Brendon Norwood; two sisters and two brothers.
