PICARD, JIMMY A. “POP”

Jimmy A. “Pop” Picard 72 of French Settlement died Tuesday Jan 20, 2009.He was 
a native of New Iberia and a devoted member of French Settlement First Baptist 
Church and an active participant of the church’s maintenance crew.  He was 
enlisted in the US Army Reserve for six years.  He lived his day-to-day life 
walking closely with God. He will be forever missed and loved by all who knew 
him.

Visitation was held on Thursday Jan 22, 2009 at French Settlement First 
Baptist Church and resumed on Friday until the funeral service with interment 
in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in French Settlement.

His wife, six children, 22 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and an 
extended church family survive him.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Duplessis and Emerie Picard.

Baptist Church Building Fund, 16735 LA Highway 16, French Settlement, LA 
70733.
