PIERCE, HYMAN WESTLEY SR

Hyman Westley Pierce Sr., 82 of Baton Rouge died Saturday Jan 30, 2010 at Our 
Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.  He was a retired 
electrician with 33 years of service to Western Electric.  He was born Nov 7, 
1927 in Amite County, MS.  

Visitation was held at Bethel Baptist Church near Liberty, MS on Monday Feb 1, 
2010 and resumed on Tuesday Feb 2, 2010 until religious services with 
interment in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by a daughter, three sons and two daughters-in-law, four 
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and his ex-
wife.

Preceding him in death were his parents, James L. Pierce Sr., and Maude Duck 
Pierce; two brothers, James Pierce and Garrett “Cottie” Pierce; and a sister, 
Dorothy Rogers.
