PUGSLEY, JONATHAN DAVID

Jonathan David Pugsley 18 of Denham Springs died Monday, Nov 15, 2010.  He was 
born in Centerville, MS on Oct 17, 1992 and resided in Baton Rouge until 2004 
when he moved to Denham Springs.  He was a member of First Presbyterian 
Church, having attended the sixth grade communion course.  During his middle 
school years he volunteered in the preschool Sunday School Department serving 
whereever needed.  He was a former Cub Scout with Troop 63 in Baton Rouge was 
was a Boy Scout in Troop 11 in Denham Springs where he served as patrol 
leader, he earned many patches and participted in many camp outings.  He was a 
former beginning and symphonic band member at Southside Junior high in Denham 
Springs where he earned the first chair position in Bass Clarinet in 2006 and 
earned his diploma after home schooling and independent study.  He was 
affectionately known as Jonjon by many of his friends and he had a tender 
heart and would help anyone who asked him.  God gave Jon a special love for 
animals and he loved his dogs, Jake and Sage.  He enjoyed caring for numerous 
pets in the past including kittens, turtles, rabbits, chickens, ferrets and 
hamsters.  He previously worked at Blue Bayou Water Park and Gatti’s Pizza.
There was a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Park on Saturday at 9”30 
am.  Following the graveside service was a celebration of Live service at 
First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge at 10”30 am. with a reception 
following the service and a reception.  Both the reception and service were 
held in the auditorium (gym).

He is survived by his parents, a sister, his grandmother, uncles, aunts, 
cousins and numerous other relatives.
