He graduated from Bunkie High School in 1966 and served in the US Air Force. He was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base and in Thailand in support of the Vietnam War. He worked most of his life in construction, including working for the family business, BGO Construction Co. Two daughters, a son, two grandchildren, a brother, two sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews; an aunt, and two uncles survive him.
