He was a native of Baton Rouge and a US Army veteran and a POW in World War II. He was the recipient of numerous medals. Visitation was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in Baton Rouge on Wednesday, Oct 21, 2009 and continued on Thursday, Oct 22, 2009 until the service at 2 pm. Interment was in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. His wife, two daughters and a son-in-law, a sister and brother-in-law, a brother and sister-in-law, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Jacob and Sara Rawlins; a son, Charles “Ricky” Reynolds; a sister, Beatrice Adams, and a brother, J. B.
