She was a charter member of New Haven Baptist Church and owned Rayborn’s General Merchandise Store in Albany for 22 years. Visitation was held at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home in Baptist on Friday, Jan 22, 2010 and resumed on Saturday Jan 23, 2010 from 1 pm until the religious services at 2 pm with interment in Old Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, north of Albany. Two daughters and sons-in-law, two sons and daughters-in-law, 15 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren survive her. Preceding her in death was her husband, Herman Rayborn Sr.; a son, Milford Rayborn; a grandson, Ricky Rayborn, three sisters, Catherine Crayton, Iva Holts, and Christine Craig; and two brothers, John Carroll, and Lonnie Stewart. The family wanted to say a special thanks to her friend and caregiver.
