REEVES, LAVERNE WHITTINGTON

Laverne Whittington Reeves 87 of Denham Springs died at 7:05 am Sunday, May 
31, 2009 at Harvest Manor Nursing Home.  She was a native of Liberty MS.  She 
was a charter member of Foster Road Baptist Church.

Visitation was held at Baker Funeral Home on Monday, June 1, 2009 and resumed 
on Tuesday until religious services.  A graveside service was held at Zion 
Hill Cemetery in Liberty MS.

A daughter and son-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren; and 
four great-grandchildren survive her. 

Preceding her in death was her husband, James C. Reeves; son, Thomas W. 
Reeves; parents, Donna and Ethel Whittington; sister, Thelma Riddle; and 
brother, Cedric Whittington.
