SAVOIE, DELLA MATHERNE

Della Matherne Savoie 92 of Lake died Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Golden 
Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs.  She was a 1935 graduate of French 
Settlement High School and a native of French Settlement.  She especially 
loved quilting and gardening.

Visitation was at Sacred Heart Chapel in St. Amant on Saturday, October 2, 
2010 until the Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment in Walls 
Cemetery in Lake.

She was survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a 
sister, nine grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her husband, J.V. Savoie; a son, Morris Savoie; her 
parents, Joseph and Olive Matherne; a great-grandchild, Daniel Savoie; three 
brothers and four sisters.

Arrangements were by Ascension Funeral Home in Gonzales.
