SCHISSEL, EUNIER EVA GOMEZ “NORA”

Eunier Eva Gomez “Nora” Schissel, 88 of Denham Springs and a native of Darrow, 
died Sept 18, 2009.

Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, Sept 22, 
2009 with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church, 
Baton Rouge.  A graveside service was held at Ascension Catholic Church 
Cemetery in Donaldsonville at 3:30 pm.

Three daughters and sons-in-law, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 
four brothers survive her

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Patrick Schissel; a daughter, 
Vivian S. Cook; her parents, Adam and Lili Bernard Gomez; four sisters, Doris 
Gomez, Mabel G. Burke, Vivian G. Fugler, and Irene G. Rogillio; two brothers, 
Wallace J. and Lester J. Gomez; and a great-granddaughter, Alyssah Renee’ 
Freeman
