He was born Sep 27, 1945 He was a self employed Baton Rouge businessman. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Central. Where he was a assistant pastor after receiving his pastor’s license. An accomplished musician, playing the piano and organ; he played with a variety of bands in the Baton Rouge area starting in the 1960s and 70s. He played the piano and sang backup vocals on such songs as “Got You on My Mind” and “Benanitta’s” a song written for the Port Vincent area. His talent found its way into church where he played the organ uplifting many souls. Mr. Scott loved Louisiana, “our food” Cajun cooking, LSU football and baseball, and playing golf. His wife of 44 years, two sons and daughters-in-law; a daughter and son-in- law; six grandchildren; and four sisters and three brothers survive him. Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph Clarence Scott and Mathilde Ann Acaldo Scott; and sister, Sharon Peck Visitation was at Resthaven Funeral Home with burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge..
