Maria "Guelita" Sierra
DIED: June 27, 2014
LOCATION: Denham Springs, Louisiana





Maria "Guelita" Sierra, born on July 4, 1926; resident of Denham Springs, 
passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, June 27, 2014, at the age of 
87. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed 
cooking, gardening, and a love for birds. Maria had a generous and loving 
spirit. She will be missed very much by all who loved her. 

Maria was preceded in death by her husband Buenaventura Oribio and daughter 
Carmen Garcia. 

She is survived by her children, Juana Love and husband Jay; Maria Largent and 
husband Lee; Ben Oribio and wife Consuelo; Ray Oribio; grandchildren, great 
grandchildren, and countless friends. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Seale Funeral Home from 
12:00pm until 1:45pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate 
Conception Catholic Church at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial 
Park.
