SIMMONS, MARGIE 

Margie Simmons 92 of Slaughter died Tuesday, July 29, 2009.  She was a 
longtime seamstress in Baton Rouge.  

Visitation was held Satruday, Aug 2, 2009 at Slaughter First Baptist Church 
from 9 am until the religious service at 11 am. Interment was in Roselawn 
Cemetery in Baton Rouge.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, 
two sisters, a brother, six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren 
and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her parents John and Annie Simmons; two sons, Levoy 
Raye and Leroy Raye; three sisters, Velma Lyles, Mellie Doster, and Nell 
Simmons; four brothers, A.G. Simmons, Milton Simmons, Little John Simmons, and 
Rayborn Simmons; and a son-in-law, Robert F. Reech.
