He was born in Reform MS on Aug 4, 1928 and was a special, generous, and loving man. He loved to tell stories of his childhood and tell jokes. He built swimming pools and did small engine work early in his life and later became a pipe and steam fitter for local 198 from which he retired with more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Denham Springs Church of Christ. Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Saturday, Jan 16, 2010 and resumed on Sunday Jan 17, 2010 until the religious services with interment following in Evergreen Memorial Park. He is survived by he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, a granddaughter, two grandsons, a great-grandson, a special sister-in-law, a special friend, a niece and a nephew, whom he grew up with. Preceding him in death was his wife, Helen Opra Snell “Opal” Steadman; his father and mother, Tessie Vaughn Steadman and Eddie Leander Steadman; two sisters, Annie Ruth Whilt and Oone Steadman; his twin brother, Lester Fred Steadman; four other brothers, Earl Lee, Denver, Guy Mayfield, and Lester Alton Steadman.
