STRAHAN, ANNE SWARTWOOD JULIAN

Anne Julian Strahan 75 of Maurepas died Monday, March 8, 2010 at St. Elizabeth 
Hospital in Gonzales.  She was a former resident of Baton Rouge and a native 
of Chicago.    She retired in 1984 from the Louisiana Department of 
Agriculture after 28 years of service at which time she entered the legal 
secretary field and ultimately retired from Jones Walker Law Firm in December 
2009 to pursue her passion for painting and traveling with her husband 
throughout the country.

Visitation was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Thursday, 
March 11, 2010 from 5 until 8 p.m. and resumed on Friday, March 12, 2010 in 
the funeral home chapel from noon until the religious service at 1 p.m. 

Her husband, a daughter and son-in-law, a son, a brother and sister-in-law, a 
niece and three nephews and close friends survive her.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Kenneth and Marjorie Swartwood; and 
husbands, James Elder and Norman Julian.
